Directs Department of Education to establish program to increase number of speech-language pathologists and speech-language pathology assistants in Oregon.
Directs] Allows department to award grants to students studying to become licensed speech-language pathologists or speech-language pathology assistants. Establishes eligibility requirements to qualify for grants.
Authorizes department to award stipends to licensed speech-language pathologists who are employed by education service districts or school districts and who provide training to program participants.
Establishes Speech-Language Pathologist Training Fund. Continuously appropriates moneys in fund to department for purpose of awarding grants and stipends.
