Directs Legislative Administrator to use National Statuary Hall Replacement Fund moneys to commission statues of Abigail Scott Duniway and Mark Odom Hatfield to be placed on display in National Statuary Hall in United States Capitol. Directs administrator to request Architect of Capitol to seek approval of Joint Committee on Library of Congress for replacement of statues of John McLoughlin and Jason Lee with Duniway and Hatfield statues. Directs administrator to place McLoughlin and Lee statues in places of honor in Oregon State Capitol.
Directs administrator to use National Statuary Hall Replacement Fund to commission statue of Chief Joseph. Directs administrator to seek cooperation of State of Idaho for Idaho to obtain approval from Joint Committee on Library of Congress for Chief Joseph statue to represent Idaho in National Statuary Hall.
Requires, if Idaho does not obtain approval for display of Chief Joseph statue in National Statuary Hall, Chief Joseph statue to be installed in place of honor in Oregon State Capitol. Requires, 10 years after Hatfield statue has been on display in National Statuary Hall, administrator to apply to Architect of Capitol for approval of display of Chief Joseph in National Statuary Hall and return of Hatfield statue to place of honor in Oregon State Capitol building.
Establishes National Statuary Hall Replacement Fund. Requires gifts, grants and donations received to fund National Statuary Hall replacement project to be deposited in fund.
Declares emergency, effective on passage.
