Requires Oregon Health Authority to investigate whether, and under what terms and conditions, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services is likely to approve using Children's Health Insurance Program funds to subsidize costs of commercial health insurance coverage for children with family incomes from 200 percent to 300 percent of federal poverty guidelines. Requires Oregon Health Authority to request federal approval to use investigate whether, and under what terms and conditions, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services is likely to approve using Children's Health Insurance Program funds to subsidize costs of commercial health insurance coverage for children with family incomes from 200 percent to 300 percent of federal poverty guidelines. Requires authority to notify interim committee of status of request and to notify Legislative Counsel if request is approved or denied.Requires authority to report findings to Senate Interim Committee on Health Care and Human Services no later than September 15, 2014.
Repeals Act on September 1, 2015, if federal approval is denied or not approved by adjournment sine die of 2015 legislative session date of convening of 2015 regular session of Legislative Assembly.
Declares emergency, effective on passage.
